Paris Saint-Germain ahead Kylian Mbappe has revealed on social media he will not play against Real Madrid on Wednesday in his side’s Champions League clash.
The 20-year-old picked up a hamstring injury and was forced off from Toulouse last month and has not featured for the winners since.
He tweeted:”It is now official, I won’t start our European effort at home against Madrid. I am quite sad not to have the ability to play but I shall bring all my service in the stands into the team and I expect to return 100 percent to always and still give my very best.”
Thomas Tuchel is currently missing Neymar, together with the Brazillian carrying on a ban after his post-match response after PSG’s defeat to Manchester United in the round of 16 final season.
Mbappe and Neymar’s striker partner Edinson Cavani and midfielder Julian Draxler are both unavailable with the duo tears.
Real have their own issues with captain Sergio Ramos and Nacho both ineligible for the match through suspension, while the likes of James Rodriguez, Eden Hazard and Brahim Diaz have only lately returned from harm.
